GREENOCK CRICKET CLUB

Greenock Cricket Club has had to completely re-think its junior player, participation and retention programme.

The club has had to organise a complete winter programme, which has involved the planned provision of indoor facilities and the provision of age group coaching programmes by qualified coaches.

MAN ON! INVERCLYDE

Man On! Inverclyde applied so they could purchase mobile phones and SIM plans for its volunteers to conduct befriending and support telephone calls and messaging confidentially, a real
change in mental health services that have only developed and grown.

Man On! were also able to access a further £500 to get its Wellbeing Centre more prepared for Covid-19, allowing modifications to rooms to allow for emergency face-to-face sessions.

32ND SCOUT GROUP

32nd Scout Group received awards from ICF for just under £1,000. The award came in two parts, the first to help kit out a new kitchen with a large fridge freezer and other kitchen items.

The second grant enabled young people to meet face to face in a safe environment, purchasing sturdy bench seating and good quality covid signage and cleaning stations for the centre.

SAFE HARBOUR

The level of vulnerability in our community has been stark, with Safe Habour having had more police involvement in the last 9 months, than the last 5 years.

ICF provided funding to cover a range of practical things that all cost and unexpected situations, that we have all had to adapt to, improvise and overcome to support those in dire need.

INVERCLYDE SHED

Inverclyde Shed and Bluebird Family Centre joined forces to create a new soup kitchen for parents, careers and members of the public.

The Nursery has also begun growing food, with a vision to use the ingredients that are grown to be part of the soup kitchen and will involve the children
and their parents.
